They partner with local officials to advance one of the most critical components to engaging female riders. ‘I think women need to have facilities that make them feel safe,’ Yetman says. ‘If my only option is to ride on a six-lane roadway with 40-mph traffic, there’s no way I’m going to do it, even as an enthusiastic bicyclist.’ . . .
