Living Streets Alliance is teaming up with local artist Janet K. Miller for Art Cruise, a bicycle tour of TPAC’s 2012 Fall Open Studios Tour.
This unique opportunity allows you to see inside the working studios of a half dozen local artists, sample wine and cheese, meet like-minded LSA members and supporters, experience downtown Tucson by bicycle, and join in a rare opportunity to listen to Janet Miller talk about the importance of public space downtown on the Franklin Loading Docks.
The tour begins at MOCA, 265 S. Church Ave., at 2:30 pm with a brief tour of current exhibitions hosted by Chief Curator and MOCA Executive Director, Anne-Marie Russell. This will be followed by a short ride to the Labor Temple to visit artist Liz Frank’s studio, with access to the roof and a grand view of downtown. This will be followed by two more stops, including wine and cheese pairings.
The evening will conclude at the Franklin Docks with a sparkling wine toast to new friends and a look at new opportunities for downtown art and development.
Space is limited to 25 people. LSA members may register for $10, non-members $25. To become a member of LSA, click here and just follow the instructions.
