For over two years now, LSA has been working to get pedestrian improvement projects included in the next Pima County Bond election. It’s been an amazing process and our proposal has evolved many times since the start. We are proud of the approach and the package that we’ll be sharing with the Pima County Bond Advisory Committee this coming Friday, September 19th.
To date, over 25 pedestrian improvement projects have been submitted by the City of Tucson, City of South Tucson, Town of Oro Valley, Pascua Yaqui Tribe, and the Tohono O’Odham Nation, with a combined total of of over $29.5 million. Together, these projects stand to leverage hundreds of millions of dollars of investment in our community.
So what is it all about? We’re glad you asked. We now have a FAQ page completely dedicated to explaining not only how the process works, but the reasoning behind our approach. There’s also a list of our 30+ community partners and allies.
