On Sunday, February 17th, Living Streets Alliance is excited to participate in the #ThisIsTucson School + Camp Fair. So excited, in fact, that we decided to lead a Family Bike Ride from Himmel Park to the Jewish Community Center so that families can enjoy a little extra special time together and get a little exercise too!
Here are the details…
WHAT: An all-ages, family-friendly, no drop bike ride to and from the School + Camp Fair.
WHERE: The ride will leave and return to the north parking lot of Himmel Park, off E. 1st St., behind the Himmel Park Library.
WHAT TIME: The ride will depart at 11am, arriving at the School + Camp Fair between 11:30-11:45, and will regroup for the ride back at 2:00pm, arriving back at the parking lot between 2:30-2:45pm.
HOW MUCH: It’s FREE!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING: A helmet, especially if you under 18, a working bicycle, a water bottle, and a sense of adventure!
WHAT IF I HAVE BIKE TROUBLE? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ll have basic bike repair and mechanics available along the ride. But you do need to bring a bike that works, major repairs won’t be available.
SOMETHING EXTRA: When you arrive at the School + Camp Fair, find the Living Streets Alliance booth, pick up a copy of the Cyclovia event map and show us your helmet or your bike to get a free bike bell or enamel pin – while supplies last!
READY TO JOIN US? We’d love to keep you updated on this event, and be able to communicate with you just in case something comes up. RSVP below to stay in the loop and let us know you’re coming!
