Announcing the Fall 2019 Cyclovia Tucson route

Join us on Sunday, October 27th from 9am to 3pm for “Cyclovia en la Doce”, providing 3.75 miles of car-free, care-free city streets for Tucsonans of all ages to enjoy.

The S. 12th Avenue route, which first debuted in 2017, extends from the Julian Wash Archeological Park at The Loop (West 39th Street and South 12th Avenue) to Mission Manor Park just south of Drexel Road. It connects dozens of locally owned small businesses featuring some of Tucson’s best Mexican food, plus dozens of schools, community centers, places of worship, parks and neighborhoods. More than one hundred different activities will line the route, concentrated around 5 activity hubs, and participating local restaurants will welcome guests with expanded outdoor seating for the day.

New for the fall event, we’re thrilled to reveal a new partnership with title sponsor Arizona Complete Health, a health and wellness provider with the goal of transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. The Arizona Complete Health Activity Hub at Mission Manor Park will feature plenty of community health and wellness resources, including free mammograms, free diabetes screening and free flu shots, in addition to all kinds of fun activities for all ages.

Community favorites will return again this year like the youth Mariachi showcase and Ballet Folklórico stage located in the street just outside Pueblo High School, Día de los Muertos activities and community altar hosted by La Estrella Bakery at South 12th Avenue and Nebraska Street, live music, beer garden, and a free zip line outside of BK’s Tacos and Güero Canelo’s restaurants, BMX jumps and demonstrations by the famed Peraza Family at Serrano’s Motorsports, and there will be plenty more live music, hands-on activities, demonstrations giveaways and more hosted by dozens of community and nonprofit partners all along the route.

There’s still time to join the line-up of event  activity partners as a business, nonprofit organization, community group, club, or food vendor. Contact Living Streets Alliance now to participate in or become a sponsor of the October 27th event, with an expected 40,000 enthusiastic participants. Visit cycloviatucson.org for more information and to see the route.

Thank you to our title sponsor, Arizona Complete Health, and to the City of Tucson, Pima County’s Clean Air Program, Cigna, TMC Healthcare, and dozens of other community partners and sponsors for their support in making this event possible.

We look forward to seeing YOU and 45,000 or more on October 27th, meantime, check out our event calendars to see when free Mobile Bike Repairs are happening in the area. If you can lend a hand during or before the event, sign up to volunteer!
