Survey Responses: See where City Council candidates stand on transportation in Tucson
There are ten candidates vying to become the next Tucson City Council representative in three different offices this fall: Wards 3, 5, and 6. To help understand their position on transportation issues in Tucson, we developed a candidate survey and asked them for responses to the following questions:
- Pedestrians, people on bikes, and people in cars are dying everyday because of traffic violence in our city. What will you do on the Council to make our streets safer?
- How will you bring down the costs of transportation for working and middle class families?
- How will you make public transportation work for everyone and how will you pay for it?
- Do you support the City's fare free policy?
- What are your thoughts on the Pima County Regional Transportation Authority (RTA)?
- How do you plan to get to City Council meetings?
Click below to see how each of them responded.
