LSA Walk & Talk Series Presents: Evolving Historic Districts of Downtown
October 17, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
On Saturday, October 17th, we’re kicking off our Walk & Talk Series to explore the evolving nature of Downtown’s east end, the 4th Avenue commercial corridor, and the adjacent Warehouse Arts District. This walking conversation will highlight the connections between fine-grained urban infill development, historic preservation, walkable neighborhoods, and economic vitality. The walk will be co-led by Architect/Planner/LSA Board Member Corky Poster, City of Tucson Preservation Lead Planner Jennifer Levstik, and LSA staff.
Hope you join us to engage in a lively discussion, meet new people, and celebrate urban life on two feet!
Note: This Walk & Talk will be very similar to the Jane Jacobs Walk we hosted along the same route this past spring.
This event is FREE for LSA members (registration required) and $10 for the general public. Space is limited, so please register/pay at the link below. More information on LSA memberships is available at this link.
Walk & Talk Route
Our friends at Exo Roast Co are extending their 10% LSA member discount to all of the Walk & Talk participants on October 17. We’ll end the walk right at their doorstep, so what better way to give your feet a rest than to grab a table and enjoy a cup of delicious Exo coffee! Exo’s owner Amy Smith will be joining us to talk about their exciting plans for Tucson’s first parklet right outside their shop.
