Get ready! This October 22nd the block of South 6th Avenue between Armory Park and Children’s Museum Tucson will become a canvas for large street murals accompanied by planters and flex posts to enhance safety and comfort for everyone using the street. Find out more about the project here.

Help bring a mural created by Tucson artist, Yu Yu Shiratori, to life during this all day block-painting-party!

Attractions: Food trucks including Peddler on the Path, CowPig, and Fatboy Samos; Tucson’s Ready, Set, Rec! van; places to hang out, plus giveaways and treats from event sponsors and businesses in the area.

What to wear: If you plan on helping with the mural or planters, dress to get messy—we’ll have everything you need to help paint the street mural.

How to get there: This block of 6th Avenue will be closed during the block party. Info on parking locations nearby can be found here, but even better, consider riding the Streetcar or Bus, which are free and will bring you within a block of the event. We’ll also have ample bike parking on site, so you can ride, scoot, or walk to the event!

For volunteers: Here’s a layout of the block party. If you’re volunteering, check in at the pink tent marked with a yellow asterisk.
